Godzilla 2014 Script Finished!

As reported at Comic Book Movie.com and announced by screenwriter Drew Pearce himself, the script for the Godzilla 2014 reboot by Legendary Pictures is complete. Pearce, an obsessive twitter, was brought in to give the script a "4 week polish" and mostly to adjust the ages of some of the characters. He broke the news through twitter. As previously reported, Cinematographer Seamus Mcgarvey stated that he was now testing to decide what kind of visual approach to take with the film and shooting would start in March 2013. What we are waiting for now is casting information, which should be coming by the beginning of next year. News about the new Godzilla reboot first came out in 2010 and now, finally, things are starting to heat up. It's about damn time.

Seamus Mcgarvey (Avengers) , Cinematographer on Godzilla 2014

It was reported by Clevver Movies that Avengers cinematographer Seamus Mcgarvey will be the  cinematographer on the Legendary Pictures Godzilla 2014 reboot. In the report, the Oscar nominated Mcgarvey was blasted for his work on Avengers by Dark Knight Rises cinematographer Wally Pfister. Mcgarvey previous work includes Atonement and Anna Karenina both historical romances starring Keira Knightly and We need to talk about Kevin, a family drama.  It makes me wonder if Knightly will possibly be in the new Godzilla 2014 picture. It's unclear how Mcgarvey previous work prepares him to shoot a monster movie of epic destruction, but perhaps we should let his resume speak for itself. You decide.

Godzilla 2014 Teaser Trailer Re-Creation

This is a re-creation of the Godzilla 2014 teaser trailer shown at the San Diego 2012 Comic con. It shows a few different details than we've seen and was made from the director's best memory. Enjoy

Godzilla 2014 'Accidental' Gareth Edwards Interview

Here's a cool 'accidental' mini interview with Gareth Edwards at San Diego's Comic- con. He says how the Godzilla design in the teaser trailer will no doubt go through some changes, but that Godzilla does have a neck. Thanks so much to Kewllerworks for this.

Godzilla 2014 Gareth Edwards Interview (San Diego Cvomic Con, 2012)

Here's part of an interview with Gareth Edwards earlier this year by Flicks and the City at the San Diego Comic-con. He talks about the Godzilla 2014 reboot by Legendary Pictures. He comments on fan's expectations and dealing with a big Hollywood budget, which he likens to wanting candy in a candy store; fairly deep. He speaks in his characteristic, slightly numbly, non-committal way. I have to say, even though I like Edwards, listening to him talk doesn't exactly instill confidence that's he's in charge. It's really a group effort though, isn't it? And, why do British people pronounce it "Godziller"?  Enjoy.
