Elizabeth Olsen Spotted on Godzilla 2014 Hawaii Set
Here are some pictures of Godzilla 2014 co-star Elizabeth Olsen taking some candid photos with crew in Hawaii. Olsen is younger sister to the more famous Olsen Twins, but get used to seeing her name. This up and coming star plays girlfriend opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Lieutenant Ford character and Ford's stepfather played by Bryan Cranston. Despite the dark mood of the film and scenes of destruction, it looks like Olsen's having fun on set with the boys in camouflage. Let's pray there's a bikini scene.

Godzilla 2014 Invades Waikiki Beach, Hawaii Videos
Filming for Godzilla 2014 by Legendary Pictures has wrapped up in Vancouver, Canada and headed to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. The beach is site to an enormous set of destruction and a FEMA triage camp after "something" attacks. It's appropriate for Godzilla that this is the biggest film set ever built in Wakiki. It was reported that some 20% of the film takes place in Hawaii. There are numerous set pictures and a local TV news video. The scene being shot today included over 200 extras and features lead actor Aaron Taylor-Jophnson(Lieutenant Ford) saving a young boy and reuniting him with his mother. There will also be a bar scene to be filmed later.

Godzilla 2014 Destroys a Subway Train
Here's a behind the scenes shot of Gareth Edward's Godzilla. One thing's for sure, you definitely don't want to be on the subway when Godzilla's in town. Yikes!

Godzilla's Path of Destruction
Herte's another cool behind the scenes shot of Godzilla's destruction for the new Legendary film. Pretty dark and bleak I'd say.

Aaron Taylor- Johnson; Godzilla 2014 feels like an Independent Movie
Here's a report from Digital Spy, quoting star Aaron Taylor- Johnson as saying working on the big-budget Legendary Pictures Godzilla 2014 film feels like working on an independent film.
The Kick-Ass actor is playing the lead, Lieutenant Ford opposite girlfriend Elizabeth Olsen and stepfather Bryan Cranston.
To quote the article:
Taylor-Johnson told Total Film: "The Godzilla crew is such a small group of people that it feels more like an independent movie than anything I've ever worked on."
The actor revealed that he has not filmed much in front of a green screen for the big action film.
He said: "I've hardly done any green screen stuff for it, he's (Edwards) really clever at doing the special effects.
"We'll shoot everything raw on location, on the streets, and he's going to put it all around us."
We shouldn't be too surprised by Aaron's comments. Godzilla 2014 Director, British born Gareth Edwards, who is still relatively unknown in Hollywood, got his big break with the surprise hit "Monsters" about the aftermath of Alien invaders.
The film was shot on a shoestring budget on locations throughout Central and South America with a crew of seven, including two actors. Everyone else you see in the film were people they just met along the way.
"Monsters" was an independent film with a big movie look. Edwards has a reputation for focusing on a good story and knows how to effectively(and sparingly) use special effects. And apparently behind the scenes, he makes a big-budget movie feel like an independent film for the cast and crew. Is Edwards going to be the next George Lucas? Time will tell. We can expect a Godzilla trailer very soon. Godzilla stomps into theaters May 16, 2014.

Gareth Edwards Message from Godzilla 2014 Set
Here's a short message from Director Gareth Edwards about a year before Godzilla's release. This was the first day Elizabeth Olsen, the Olsen twins lesser known sister will appear as Lieutenant Ford's (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) love interest. This is a scene t a FEMA relief camp after the monster's rampage. I hope this scene will be reminiscent of the tragic hospital scene from the original Gojira(1954). Only time will tell.
Godzilla 2014 Aircraft Carrier Attack!!
Update: Godzilla is prepping a real aircraft carrier, the USS Ronald Reagan, for filming at Coronada, California naval base as these sets are torn down.
Godzilla crew constructed several sets for greenscreen filming on the vast Kent Hanger gravel field next to the Fraser River Path on the Vancouver/Burnaby border.

Godzilla 2014 San Francisco Attack!
Here are some on the set shots of military action as Godzilla attacks San Francisco(filmed in Vancouver). We also get a shot of star Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Lieutenant Ford) not doing so much. Anyway, I'm sure it'll be a great scene. Godzilla opens May 16, 2014.

Godzilla 2014 Nuclear Meltdown
Earlier we saw some mysterious shots of a man with a briefcase on a factory catwalk. Now it seems this is a scene where a Japanese nuclear plant meltsdown possible reviving Godzilla?
The tragic events and nuclear aftermath of the very real tsunami disaster in Fukushima, Japan two years ago have no doubt influenced the Godzilla story and bring a chilling realism to the threat of nuclear radiation. The photos and coments below are from yvrshoots
Godzilla used an abandoned Coquitlam paper recycling plant on the Fraser River to film a couple of weeks of scenes of the Janjira nuclear power station at risk of meltdown with radioactive leaks. Is this what wakes Godzilla (plural) from their slumber? - YVRShoots
"Lead character Lieutenant Ford (Kick Ass's Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his stepfather 'The General' (Breaking Bad窶冱 Bryan Cranston) walked through the Japanese street set littered with abandoned Japanese cars and covered in bamboo vines on a blockaded Front Street two Sundays ago."
Akira Takarada in Godzilla 2014
Veteran Japanese actor Akira Takarada was photographed with Godzilla 2014 director Gareth Edwards. It appears to be an airport scene. Takarada not only appeared as the dashing young sailor Hideto Ogata as part of the love triangle in the original Gojira(1954), but in numerous sequels in the franchise spanning 50 years. In a news conference in Japan, he publicly asked for a role in the new Legendary Pictures reboot. And at the urging of fans across the world, it looks like Edwards gave him his wish. No word on what kind of part he will play(probably a cameo role). But we can't wait to see him in it. Congratulations Takarada

This is supposed to be some kind of behind the scenes set pic for Godzilla 2014. I know they were shooting in Hawaii. This might be one shot.

Godzilla 2014 Set Video- Extras See Godzilla and Run
Godzilla's coming!! Godzilla's coming! Here's an awesome video clip taken during the filming of Godzilla 2014 filming in Canada. The scene most likely is suppose to be in San Francisco. A large group of extras are in confusion in the rain, then see Godzilla and start running. This is great, much better than just showing people running for no reason. We want to see the look of awe and fear on their faces. Can you feel the thunder yet, are you getting excited?

Godzilla 2014 Radioactive Containment Doors -Set Photo
Here's a great set photo of large radioactive containment doors from the Godzilla 2014 set with soldiers stationed outside. Are they designed to keep something out or something in? You be the judge.

Here's another image from yvrshoots of what is most likely the radiactive containment doors from the outside.

Godzilla 2014 School Evacuation Photos
Here are some cool Godzilla 2014 set pics showing a Japanese school evacuation. We see students running as a monster presumably attacks. These are familiar scenes to Godzilla fans. Here's the original description from YVRShoots
Godzilla crew remade Steveston's Japanese Cultural Centre/Martial Arts Centre into the JanJira International School for filming on Wednesday, adding fake pink cherry blossoms to the east side of the trees outside and parking a prop Japanese school bus and giant blue screen on the west side where the camera would focus. Dozens of child extras dressed in school uniforms practiced running out of the centre into the bus or towards Moncton Street. And had fun doing it. It's not clear where the monster is in this scene because it's unlikely they would run towards it.
